The abuse that Orca Whales and other, smaller cetaceans have to go through is a direct violation of the Animal Wellfare Act of 1966, and many US citizens, including myself, agree that corporations such as SeaWorld, and facilities such as the Miami Seaquarium should either be shut down or, at the very least, reformed to meet national standards for the treatment of animals. The tanks that these dolphins and small whales have to live in are much too small, even to fit national law, let alone to provide a proper living space for these intelligent creatures.
