ban, acutely regulate or restrict the use of drones in the domestic United States.

Created by S.C. on December 25, 2012

The use of drones by the United States military and its intelligence agencies has been an overwhelming success in overseas operations. However, I am concerned that the success of overseas operations has opened the door to their potential misuse here at home. My main concerns are threefold; air space safety, law enforcement investigative over-reliance, unethical private use of surveillance and civil liberty. Close air safety regulation and coordination must supersede the rush of organizations to operate such aircraft in civil air space. A rush to use drones domestically will result in the inadvertent (or worse - intentional) trampling upon the rights of United States citizens; violations of the 4th Amendment, the 6th Amendment or other legal precedents.
