There is no reason pharmaceutical corporations should be allowed to advertise prescription medications to the general public. People should not be urged to "ask their doctor" every time a new drug is introduced. It leads to self diagnosing and over medication. Doctors spend years in medical school and should be the only ones who are determining if their patient needs to on Androgel, Viagra, Lipitor, or any anti-depressant medications.
Additionally, the millions and millions of dollars spent on television commercials, radio and print ads is all built in to the astronomical costs of brand name medication. If Axiron didn't spend millions on advertising, it wouldn't cost over $400 for a one month supply.
We have a prescription addiction in our country and need to do something about it.
