Affirmative action was established in the 1960s to ensure that members of minority groups were not discriminated in times of extreme racism and prejudice. Today, such a policy is no longer required. Affirmative action is just setting up unqualified individuals of minority groups to fail where qualified members of majority groups could thrive. Society has grown to a point to where minorities do not need a government program to protect them at the expense of the majority.
