1. In this country, we have the right to bear arms.
2. Does a 6-year-old child have the right not to be shot 11 times in a couple of seconds while at school? And does she have the right not to have to live in constant fear that it might happen? What about her parents?
3. The only purpose of automatic, semi-automatic, or assault weapons is to kill PEOPLE, LOTS of them, QUICKLY.
4. Why should anyone other than law enforcement personnel have these kinds of weapons? Why should the mentally ill be allowed to acquire ANY firearms at all?
5. If we do not ban these weapons, then we are saying that the rights of people who want them are more important than the rights of people who are being killed by them or living in constant fear of them.
6. Is that what we want to stand for as a nation?
