Ban All Current and Future GEICO Commercials on Television and Radio

Created by K.S. on March 14, 2014

Since the late twentieth century (1999), American TV has been saturated with GEICO commercials. From the "GEICO Gecko", to the recent advent of "Maxwell the Pig", an average hardworking American cannot turn on his or her television without seeing one of GEICO's intrusive advertisements. We get it: in fifteen minutes we can save fifteen percent or more on car insurance. This slogan has so saturated American popular media that other car insurance companies now imitate it (e.g. Esurance), and GEICO itself has begun to make self-refential commercials. This is terrible television. We humbly ask the Obama administration to take any and all possible steps to spare the American public from such half-hearted commercials, whether it be legislative action, executive order, or back-room dealings.
