ban all food additives that have not been proven to be safe for children to eat on a daily basis.

Created by S.B. on January 24, 2013

The Federal government maintains a list of chemicals and chemically altered unnatural fats and sugars that food manufacturers may add to our foods. There is ample evidence that some of these additives cause increases in cholesterol (trans-fats/hydrogenated oils/palm kernel oil) but they are still on the list and allowed in food. Virtually every frozen meal, most crackers, most cookies, virtually all packaged cake and cookie mixes and many other everyday foods we give our kids contain these chemically altered fats and other untested or known to be harmful additives. American children eat prepared and/or restaurant meals, often several times daily, that contain these unproven or dangerous additives. They should be banned from food until they are proven to be safe for kids to eat daily.
