We, the people of the United States of America, respectfully demand the banning of all methods of euthanasia on all healthy, adoptable animals in kill shelters.
Furthermore, that domesticated, healthy, adoptable animals be placed in state, private, or federally funded sanctuaries and rescue shelters until adopted out to responsible pet owners.
The practice of all forms of euthanasia on healthy, adoptable animals is the ultimate form of animal cruelty; regardless of the method and entity used to perform it. Better solutions such as mandatory state and federally funded spay and neuter programs would effectively decrease overpopulation of domestic animals.
