Ban all forms of telemarketing, even from charities.

Created by J.K. on June 27, 2013

Americans pay for their telephone service, mainly as a form of personal communication. We do *NOT* pay for this service to be used as a marketing tool! Please urge Congress to pass a law banning ALL forms telemarketing, and urge the FCC to strongly enforce such a law.

Even though my home telephone number is on the National Do Not Call List, I am bombarded from 7:30am until 10:30pm by telemarketers and various charities. I typically get anywhere from 2 to 8 calls per day, 7 days a week!

Primarily, these are calls for the homeowner (me), but I've had to start lying, telling the callers that I'm just a renter, and the homeowner moved away. This has helped, but I fear it's only a stopgap measure.
