Proponents of GMOs foods claim that they are safe, and that they are the food of the future which can be relied on to save the world from starvation. Millions of dollars are put into the creation of these food-like mutations. The problem is, they are largely unproven, hastily approved by the FDA due to a practice which lets Monsanto execs become directors over Monsanto food testing, evidence is mounting to prove that GMO crops are actually -less- resilient than traditional varieties, and GMOs are not safe at all.
We ask our government to follow the lead of 16 (and growing) countries and cities around the world which have banned and/or destroyed GMO crops. If we wait too long, our food supply will be lost. Ban GMOs unless and until real, long-term, independent studies can be done.
