Ban all Genetically Modified Salmon.

For the first time in human history, we (mankind) have manipulated the genes of a wild species in order to increase the traits of size, growth, and sterility. The ramifications of this untested act are unknown, but if these untested genes escape into wild stocks, it could lead to a wild salmon population crash, environmental degradation, and economic ruin of natural fisheries. Additionally, the meat of this new creature has not been tested over time for its health effects on humans. If approved, US (FDA) will have to stop these genes from export or escape in perpetuity; an impossible task for any regulatory agency. Considering the enormous environmental, economic, and health risks, the FDA should immediately ban all breading, raising, buying, and selling of all GM Salmon.
