As we all know, gay marriage is still illegal in most states. I, and many others find this fact to be unacceptable, and we can not tolerate it any more.
But here's the core of the issue: the government is in charge of marriage. Marriage is a religious act, and really, does not have anything to do with the government.
Many government officials who are against gay marriage say that civil unions are good enough for gays. I say, if civil unions are good enough for gays, they are good enough for everyone!
