Ebola and AIDS resulted from hunting and consumption of bush meat which is not limited to Africa or Africans. Americans are huge consumers of bush meat. Millions of wild animals that have a wide variety of diseases are killed and consumed by American hunters. These animals carry diseases such as rabies, bird flu, Chronic Wasting Disease (similar to Mad Cow Disease), etc. Hunting bush meat also spreads toxic lead throughout the environment. Hunters are donating contaminated meat to charities. The potential is here for transmission of deadly disease from wildlife to humans who have no immunity resulting in an Ebola type epidemic.
To guard against this type of epidemic it is time to ban all hunting and trapping and consumption of wildlife (bush meat) in the United States.
