Ban all imports of all trophies from the hunting of exotic, endangered, and big game animals into the United States

Created by C. . on August 04, 2015

In light of the slaughter of Cecil the lion, the issue of trophy hunting has been thrust into the spotlight as one that is demanding of our immediate attention.Thousands of rare, and in many cases endangered or critically endangered animals are being hunted for sport and money. These trophies need to be banned, not only because it's the moral and ethical thing to do, but because many of these animals are essential parts of our ecosystems, and some are very near extinction. It is our responsibility to ensure that these vulnerable creatures are protected to the very best of our ability. While we cannot dictate the hunting regulations in countries that allow this, we can keep these "trophies" from coming into the US, making it less desirable to go hunt them.We must ban their import to the US.
