Ban all ivory import, exports, carving, sales and purchase of ivory in the United States and demand China join us.

Created by P.S. on April 17, 2014

Ban all ivory import, exports, carving, sales and purchase of ivory in the United States and demand China join us in Saving the remaining 380,000 elephants in the wild. Everyday 95 elephants are poached/killed for their tusks. In 2013, 35,000 elephants were gunned down to fuel the Chinese desire for ivory objects, followed by the US market. When humans see something they think has monetary value they want to invest in it for future profits. If this greed continues there will be no future for the elephants. Elephants can not be domestically bred; gestation is two years for one baby which feeds for up to five years, remains with the herd for a possible life of 80 years. We must not let the elephant become extinct because people value their collectables more than an entire species. Ban Ivory!
