Ban all media outlets from interviewing children in times of tragedy or extreme stress.

Created by R.H. on December 14, 2012

The recent shooting at the school in Connecticut has brought to the national eye the sensationalist tactics used by reporting in covering tragic events. Children who have been involved in this sort of event should not be subjected to media reporters asking them to relive an extremely emotionally distressing situation. I propose a federal law be enacted that would ban all media outlets - television, newspaper, radio, web, etc. - from interviewing children in these circumstances.
