Ban all political activities by corporations getting more than half of their revenues from the federal government.

Created by R.W. on July 07, 2015

The defense industry get the most federal money by seemingly corrupt means. The failure of the F35 is an outstanding example. It is a fighter jet that cannot perform simple maneuvers, and certainly not be a successor for outdated jets. The real issue is lobbying Congress with the money received from contracts. Center for Responsive Politics, says Lockheed’s PAC spent over $4 million on 2014 elections, and has already donated over $1 million for 2016. Most money went to M. Thornberry (R-TXs), Chair, House Armed Services committee; R. Frelinghuysen (R-NJ), Chair, Defense Subcommittee of House Appropriations Committee, Kay Granger, Subcommittee Vice-Chair. In addition Lockheed spent over $14 million lobbying. Taxpayers should not have to pay for this corrupting activity.
