Everyone knows that political TV advertising consistently uses half-truths, statements taken out of context, and questionable research statistics. In addition, politicians must spend inordinate amounts of time simply raising money to pay for those advertisements. By the time the election is at hand, the American people are simply sick of the bombardment and negativism to which they have been subjected. In many countries around the globe, political TV advertising is banned in total. Those countries include, but are not limited to, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Belgium, Switzerland, Chile, Sweden, Ireland, and the Philippines.
