If all private donations to political campaign funds were banned, then the politicians would be under no pressure to satisfy the goals and demands implicit in the generosity of wealthy donors, lobbyists, and PACs.
Elections would be funded soley with public funds. The politicians would be able to represent, their true constiuents, the voters, and the politicians would not have to "bend" their positions to satisfy the generous special interest groups. They will be free to express their own positions and ideas without threats from special interest groups.
An amendment should be added to the U.S. Consitution that bans all private donations to campaign funds and declares that all political campaigns should be funded soley and exclusively with public funds.
