The goal of this petition is to get radio stations and those that advertise with radio stations to stop using vehicular sounds in their programming, advertisements, and background music, including sound samples used in songs to mask profanity. This includes, but is not limited to, cars/trucks honking their horn, police sirens, tires squealing, cars crashing, etc. Sounds of this nature can be distracting to the driver and could result in the driver losing their focus on the road in an effort to discover the source of the noise.
