The Florida House of Representatives just recently passed a bill allowing the use and regulation of fracking in the state of Florida. The bill does not require fracking companies to disclose the chemicals or potential carcinogens used in the process, and includes a ban on local communities banning the practice entirely. The health and well-being of the people are clearly not the priority in this endeavor. We, the people, do not consent to any companies, private or public, conducting hydraulic fracturing of any kind in the state of Florida. The current crises occurring in Michigan, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and so forth, should lead as examples of why fracking should be banned, not only statewide, but nationally and federally. Help keep our people safe from chemical waste. Say NO to fracking.
