According to CNN article http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/31/us/illegal-animal-trade/index.html, majority of the trophy hunters are from United States. For example out of 600 lions killed each year in the name of trophy hunting, Americas take on the average 411 lions. We know majority of the countries that are blessed with these amazing natural resources are corrupt and unable to protect these resources. Lets halt this senseless killings at the source by requesting US government to ban any trophy hunting by its citizens. It is one responsible thing that US government can enact and drastically reduce endangered species killings. Cecil hunt has awakened international community and lets hope to do some thing much broader than punishing one individual and protect these invaluable resources.
