Breed banning and breed discrimination in the United States needs to end. Breeds in the United States that are considered to be "dangerous," such as pit bulls and pit bull mixes, are being banned in certain places, certain living communities (i.e. some apartment complexes), and from being adopted out in some counties around the country. No breed of dog is inherently dangerous, people create dangerous dogs. Banning breeds of dogs will solve nothing, any dog can be taught to harm. Communities spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each year on breed bans that have not been proven to make communities safer.
"In the 70's they blamed the Doberman in the 80's it was the German Shepherd in the 90's the Rottweiler Now it's the Pitbull. When will they blame the humans?" - Cesar Millan
