This petition is designed to create marriage equality for all citizens, by humbly requesting that President Obama sign legislation making all heterosexual marriages null and void.
Our nation was founded on equality, and the idea that all people should be given the same rights and privileges without respect to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or otherwise.
Since the U.S. Supreme Court has shown reluctance to repeal D.O.M.A., it is the duty of the President to create equality by giving heterosexual people the rights currently afforded to the LGBT community; this means nullifying all marriages until both heterosexual and LGBT marriages are equally recognized.
