Ban the AR-15 and and similar automatic and semi-automatic weapons.

The automatic and semi-automatic weapons available to non-police and non-military citizens threaten the security of all citizens of the United States. Over the years we have seen these weapons (such as the AR-15) specifically be the tool of choice in mass shootings around the country. While the 2nd Amendment is a primary principle of the Constitution it should not be used to make available mass killing machines such as the AR-15, and similar weapons. A comprehensive bill should be put forth to ban these weapons and the high capacity magazines which have been used to assault innocent civilians of the United States.
