Did you know that artificial dyes are made from substances derived from things like petroleum and coal tar? Several countries have either completely banned or require warning labels for the following dyes:
• Blue #1 (E133) & Blue #2 (E132)
• Red #3 (E127) and Red #40 (E129)
• Yellow #5 (aka Tartazine, E102)
• Yellow #6 (E110)
Studies have linked these artificial dyes to brain cancer, nerve-cell deterioration, and hyperactivity in children (ADHD), just to name a few.
Products & company's, such as McDonald’s, Pringles (owned by Kellogg’s), Betty Crocker (owned by General Mills), Starburst (owned by M&M/Mars), and Ritz Crackers (owned by Kraft) have had to alter their products to be sold in other countries that have banned the dyes and they should have to do the same for us!
