Ban assault rifles , as a gun owner and advocate i petition that this country needs to ban the sales of assault rifles

Assault rifles have no business being in the hands of civilians. Simply making gun laws stricter won't prevent tragic massacres . Assault rifles are to powerful and able to kill many in such a short time. I would gladly turn mine in if it meant preventing such tragedies .
