Assault weapons have only one purpose: to kill people. You do not hunt with them, they are meant for military use only. No one out of the military has a need, nor a right to them; unless they want to kill people. Those that want to stand up for their so called "right" to have assault weapons are spitting in the faces all that were kill by them. They are siding on the so called "right" of the murders to kill others, infringing on others right to survive.
No one is coming to take away you guns, knives, rocks. We just want to ensure that people who buy guns are mentally competent, a non-criminal, nor an AL-queda operative. And, if the gun is used for illegal purposes, that it can be traced back to the person that sold it.
Is that too much to ask?
