I ask that President Obama and Congress pass legislation to ban automatic assault weapons.
The 2nd Amendment was not intended to preserve the right to own and carry automatic assault weapons. The 2nd Amendment was created to preserve the right of individuals to have a weapon to protect themselves against the Bristish.
Automatic assault weapons do not protect our people, and in fact puts our people who are affected by these assaults at a disadvantage.
It is time for the American people to keep our children safe and act to ban these weapons
