Back round checks should be mandatory for anyone purchasing a gun. Our variable gun laws allow too many individuals that are not upstanding citizens to find a way or location to purchase guns they should never possess. Please note that European countries with restrictive gun laws have a much lower gun homicide rate then we do. I am not asking for a ban on all weapons, only those that should only be in the hands of our armed forces and police officers.
