Ban assault weapons and better regulate other firearms to help prevent mass shootings and protect Americans.

Our nation's gun control laws are too lenient, and, as a result, individuals are too easily purchasing assault weapons and commiting tragic mass shootings. While the Second Amendment may give Americans the right to bear arms, it does not necessarily give Americans the right to bear multiple assault weapons. Until we tighten Federal and state regulations on gun ownership and gun commerce, future tragedies remain, not just a possibility, but an inevitability.
