Ban the Canadian harp seal hunt. They are being hunted to the brink of extinction.

Created by Z.S. on March 03, 2013

Every year a fleet of Canadian poachers sail to the Gulf of St Lawrence to brutally slaughter harp seals. It is possible they could become extinct if they are repeatedly hunted. The government of Canada allows up to 300,000 harp seals to be slaughtered. Poaching that many harp seals critically decreases the population of them. Also, it is really unnecessary to brutally kill these beautiful creatures of our fine planet. When the seals are hunted they are hit hard with clubs and their fur and skin is cut off. The fisherman leave the dead seal carcasses on the ice to rot. Please take action to end this nonsense.
