Ban capital punishment in the United States. "The sanctity of human life is inviolable. There is no death penalty."

Created by C.M. on September 27, 2011

Capital punishment has no place in a modern, just, and humane society.

It is a barbarous horror.

It is capriciously applied.

It provides no deterrent.

We do not use it fairly and justly.

Too many death penalty cases have too many doubts and uncertainties associated with them.

Too many convictions are associated with coerced confessions, coerced lying by witnesses, and with other stunning police and prosecutorial misconduct as well as judicial acquiescence.

We do not need a death penalty when we have life in prison as an alternative.

There need be no other justifications.
