Ban the captivity of Orcas (killer whales) in the United States

This petition is inspired by the documentary "Blackfish" which exposes the inhumane practices of aquariums, particularly SeaWorld, that capture Orcas from the wild solely for the selfish purpose of entertaining humans. In the process of capturing whales, pods are almost always separated and whale fatalities often occur. Orcas in captivity are kept in tanks that are entirely too small and often experience increased aggression, depression, and shorter lifespans. There are even accounts of captive Orcas killing humans; however, there are no accounts of Orcas killing humans in the wild. Please sign this petition to end the inhumane captivity and treatment of Orca whales, who are intelligent and social beings that belong in their natural habitat, the ocean, with their families.
