Circumcision damages the penis and removes a significant percentage of the penile nerves and skin (about 30% of the penis). Although it is an ancient religious ritual, it is widely practiced on Americans unaffiliated with religion across the country. Human beings should have the right to keep parts of their body that evolution has given them. Meanwhile parents shouldn’t have the right to mutilate their born child. On the contrary, circumcision can always be performed in adulthood for men who desire it, with fully informed consent. With that said, it should be left to the individual.
