Since the implementation of Common Core into our schools nationwide there has been a notable decrease in the academic performance of our nation's schools. Evidence for this can be seen in average math scores on the National Assessment of Education Progress have declined for the first time since 1900. Another example could be that the performance of our nation is constantly being trounced by many other other leading nations, with the USA even showing to be 27th in the world for mathematics, behind Korea, Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom, to name a few. We respectfully request that congress address this issue that is facing the education of our nation's children.
