The Common Core State Standards violate the 10th amendment,
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
The Common Core State Standards take the power of creating curriculum for education from the states/people, even thought the tenth amendment secures that power to the states/people (as of the creation of the petition) because no other amendment gives that power to any other body that is not the states/people.
