Ban companies from using workplace personality tests in the hiring process.

Created by E.B. on October 05, 2014

When applying to a job and faced with a test, even ones that have no real correct answers, we start questioning the difference between right and wrong. Add in the desire to impress and what we write on paper could be something completely different than what we actually believe. This, in turn, results in us unconsciously "faking" the test as, while searching for employment, we are more prone to selling ourselves off to the employer and their needs instead of showing them our true selves. Mood is another critical influence on our personality. Personality is never consistent so personality testing should not be the beginning and end of applicant evaluation and yet so many companies use these tests as a sole deciding factor to hire applicants!
