We the people would like to ban the Confederate flag from public display on the basis it is reactionary and divisive. Do we want to live in a country that endorses animosity by one group towards another? Similar to the Swastika which is banned in Germany both symbols represent hatred. In a country that was founded on diversity to continue to officially condone such blatant displays of bigotry is hypocritical to our constitution and impairs our country from fully healing and moving forward.
