Ban nationwide the use of "Conversion Therapy" or "Reparative Therapy" for any LGBT person.
Conversion therapy has been denounced by the American Psychiatric Association. In their 2013 statement they say,
"The American Psychiatric Association does not believe that same-sex orientation should or needs to be changed, and efforts to do so represent a significant risk of harm by subjecting individuals to forms of treatment which have not been scientifically validated..."
This also applies to any act of attempting to change any orientation or gender identity. Such practices are harmful and abusive. On 29 December 2014, Leelah Alcorn, a transgender youth took her own life because her own family put her through this kind of abuse.
Please take action to ensure this doesn't happen again.
