While the rights of the LGBT+ community have advanced over the years, we still have much to improve upon. One of those items being the treatment of LGBT+ youth and conversion therapy. Conversion therapy seeks to "convert" LGBT+ youth into being heterosexual. However, conversion therapy has little to no success rate and severely harms those that undergo it. Despite that, conversion therapy still exists and is actively harming our nation's youth. It is the law's duty to protect children from that, regardless of one's opinion on the LGBT+ community. Therefore, a complete and total ban conversion therapy on minors is necessary.
