Conversion therapy or Sexual Orientation Change Efforts (SOCE) are therapies based around changing a persons sexual orientation. Practices like these are harmful especially to minors. SOCE frequently lead to depression, anxiety, drug use, homelessness, and suicide. Only three states in the union have banned the use of conversion therapy on minors. Conversion therapy is unethical and should be banned in New Mexico
