A child shouldn't go to school with fear that he or she might be hurt by their teachers. Currently there are 19 states that allow corporal punishment in schools. Some students have unfortunately been victim to paddling or any other injustice. Furthermore, more vulnerable students such as the mentally disabled or weak are targeted by school staff for no particular reason. There needs to be a nationwide ban of corporal punishment, not just because its wrong but because its a violation of human rights.
