Ban the cruel and obscene act of child genital mutilation

Child genital mutilation is an all-too-common occurrence where the most innocent and helpless Americans of all, newborn boys and girls, are permanently and irreparably scarred, both physically and mentally. The damages made by these heinous and obscene actions are well documented, especially in regards to the potential risks of performing surgery on a new-born as well as ill-effects on sexual function later in life, and any objective and reasonable person can understand why it should be completely illegal, regardless of cultural and religious tradition. Unfortunately, however, these depraved and senseless violations of a newborns natural state are, in fact, legal, despite all logic and reason. This petition calls for the banning of genital mutilation as it concerns non-consenting minors.
