Ban the Dangerous Sport of BASE Jumping in National Parks.

Created by P.D. on September 25, 2011

We believe that BASE jumping BASE jumping, an activity that uses a parachute to jump from fixed objects ("B.A.S.E." stands for the objects from which people want to jump: buildings, antennas, spans (bridges), and earth (cliffs)) should continue to be banned in all National Parks.

These activities pose a danger to other users of the National Park System and should not be allowed. Such jumping is an expensive and elitist activity which must not push other people out of the parks due to the high risks the jumping puts innocent park users into.

The NPS is part of America's heritage for all, not just a playground for a minority who enjoy a life threatening sport (to others, if not to the jumpers)
