We plead to you to put in place a ban on surgically declawing cats.
Cats need their claws for protection. Without their claws, they would no longer have the use of their nails for defense. Medical effects after declawing your cat can include pain, infection, and tissue necrosis. This has been banned in many countries already. We plead to you to ban it here in the United States.
