Ban the display of the Confederate Battle Flag.

Created by K.B. on June 19, 2015

I would like to propose that we ban the display of the Confederate battle flag in community buildings, educational buildings, and government buildings. This flag undoubtably represents a nation torn in half by slavery during the Civil War and the struggle all African Americans faced during the time. This flag promotes racism and stands for white supremacy so it should not be displayed freely. After Dylann Roof killed nine innocent people in a state that proudly displays the Confederate flag, it is hard to deny that the flag, and anyone who displays it, endorses racism. As a nation, I believe it is time we move forward with more advancements in Civil Rights and this is a very important step in the process.
