ban the display of the Confederate flag in the United States of America.

Created by J.P. on June 19, 2015

The Confederate flag is a symbol for racism. This flag was representative of a group of people who believed that African Americans were not humans. These people fought against equality and that should not be what is represented in a country with the prestige and integrity that the United States has. By banning this flag from being displayed in the United States, it is a step forward in eliminating racism. This flag is representative of the racist culture that had existed in not only the southern states but in the entire country. By not allowing this flag to be waived, it is eliminating that constant reminder and creating a new culture, a more unified one. How are we supposed to act as one, if we, as citizens, do not even wave the same flag?
