Ban divorce except for cases of infidelity. If Christians respect marriage so much, let them prove it.

Created by C.S. on April 16, 2015

Although there is no evidence of Jesus stating that he is opposed to same sex marriages, he is very clear on divorce. If Christians want to legislate marriage to fit their interpretation of their religion, let's make sure we ban divorce except for cases of infidelity.

We have laws that line up with the ten commandments in many cases. Let's add adultery to the list, which includes divorce without infidelity.

Matthew 19

“Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
