Electing a president through the electoral college is a corrupt system that prevents everybody's vote from actually counting. The U.S. is one of the few countries in the world (maybe the only) that has this complicated but unfair system. Electing a president through popular vote is far more straightforward and democratic than through electoral vote.
A good example of this is the Al Gore vs George W. Bush election in 2000. Al Gore had more people vote for him so wouldn't it logically make sense for him to become president? Why did George W. Bush become president instead?
